Twenty years ago, Dr. Shivani Bhalla was one of the first participants in WCN’s Rising Wildlife Leaders (RWL) program. Today, she leads Ewaso Lions, one of Kenya’s most celebrated conservation organizations—and lions in northern Kenya are safer because of it. Supporters like you have helped drive that transformation, and we would like to invite you to celebrate it with us.
Join us on Tuesday, July 28, at 9 am PDT, for a special Closer Look marking the 20th anniversary of Rising Wildlife Leaders. There you’ll hear firsthand from Shivani, and from Senior Programs Manager Laura Gruber, who has helped nurture talented local conservationists from the Amazon basin to Africa’s Great Rift Valley. We will also be joined by Deoclearancia “Lorna” Dax, a current RWL participant doing important work to protect black rhinos in Namibia.
