Frequently Asked Questions

What does it mean for me that the main auditorium where Dr. Jane Goodall is speaking has sold out?
Those who purchased tickets before the main auditorium sold out will receive a yellow wristband, and those who purchased tickets later will receive a blue wristband. If you have a yellow wristband you can expect a seat in the main auditorium with Dr. Goodall provided they are in the auditorium by 10am sharp. If you have a blue wristband, you are guaranteed a seat in a different auditorium where Dr. Goodall’s presentation will be simulcast to a large video screen. We do however anticipate that a few seats will become available in the main auditorium. These will be given away on a first-come, first-serve basis immediately preceding the talk. There will be a line just outside the main, upstairs auditorium for those interested in trying for this option. Both wristband colors allow you the opportunity to meet Dr. Jane Goodall at her book signing, as well as experience all the other conservationists' presentations, shopping, and information gathering throughout the day.

Can I buy tickets at the door for the Expo?
The event is sold out so tickets will not be available at the door.

Is the Expo easy to find?
Yes! The Expo is located near AT&T Park, at the eastern edge of the city. It can be easily accessed from the major freeways and public transportation. Please click here for directions and visit www.511.org for public transportation information.

Is there parking at the Expo?
Yes! There are two large parking garages in the area. The Mission Bay Conference Center (Expo venue) has its own attached multi-level garage. Parking is $3.50 per hour. There is a second surface-level garage located one block east for $2.50 per day but this lot has minimal spaces available and we cannot guarantee availability.

Will there be food at the Expo?
Yes, there will be snacks and drinks available for purchase all day until 6:00pm. A boxed lunch will be available for purchase for $10 at the event. Lunch will be available from 12:30-1:30pm. Please note the café can get overwhelmed at times.

Can I bring my kids?
Children are welcome at the Expo however the presentations are geared towards adults. Children over 8 years old may find some of the presentations interesting. Children must be supervised at all times.

What if I miss an Expo presentation?
All of the presentations will be available online here on our website after the Expo. You may see previous year's presentations by clicking here.
