Similar to venture capitalists, we identify, vet, then support conservation initiatives that hold the greatest promise for wildlife.
Thriving Wildlife & Nature
At its heart, conservation is about helping wildlife thrive in healthy, safe, and intact ecosystems. Our partners do this in a variety of ways, from protecting and restoring habitat to establishing wildlife corridors to addressing the effects of climate change.
- In 2025, Rwanda Wildlife Conservation Association recorded 1,245 Grey Crowned Cranes nationwide, up from only 487 in 2017.
- Macaw Recovery Network doubled the size of the Sarapiquí Rainforest Reserve, from 514 to 1,015 acres of Great Green Macaw habitat.
Thriving People
Conservation efforts are strongest when people and communities thrive. WCN’s partners support human well-being by investing in education, health, and economic opportunity—building a more sustainable future for communities alongside wildlife protection.
- Spectacled Bear Conservancy’s Felti craft program employs 100+ women, providing alternative income and reducing wildlife pressure.
- Niassa Carnivore Project’s “performance payment program” in Mozambique generates $100,000+ towards human-wildlife coexistence.
High-Impact Conservationists
Creating a healthy future for wildlife relies on the leadership of local people who are shaping conservation in their home countries.
- WCN supports Misool Foundation’s team growth, such as diving courses for the safety of their reef restoration and education teams.
- Since its inception, WCN has awarded 217 scholarships across 47 countries through the scholarship program.
